About Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional therapy is an evidence-based approach to health that uses food, nutrients and lifestyle changes to support your body's natural processes and improve wellbeing.

As a nutritional therapist, I take a personalised approach — looking at your whole health picture, including your symptoms, diet, lifestyle, medical history and goals — to create recommendations that are tailored specifically to you.

Where appropriate, I may recommend functional testing to provide additional insight into your health. Test results are interpreted within the context of your symptoms, health history and goals, helping to inform a personalised and targeted support plan.

Dietitians are regulated healthcare professionals who often work within the NHS. Nutritional therapists work in a complementary health setting and take a more holistic, root-cause approach — looking beyond symptoms to understand why they're occurring.

Nutritional therapy can work well alongside conventional medicine and is not a replacement for medical care. I always encourage clients to maintain their relationship with their GP or specialist.

Yes. I base all of my recommendations on current peer-reviewed nutritional science and clinical research. The field of nutritional therapy is continually evolving, and I stay up to date with the latest evidence to ensure my practice reflects best practice.

Consultations

Your initial consultation lasts 90 minutes and is a thorough conversation about your health. We'll cover your current symptoms, medical history, diet, lifestyle, stress levels, sleep and your health goals. Where available, relevant test results can also be reviewed as part of the consultation. If appropriate, functional testing may be recommended to provide additional insight into your health.

After the session, I'll create a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan for you, which I'll send over within a few days. This will include dietary guidance, supplement recommendations (where appropriate), and practical lifestyle advice. Any relevant test findings will be considered alongside your symptoms, health history and goals to help inform your personalised recommendations.

Follow-up sessions are typically 45–60 minutes. We'll review how you've been getting on with your plan, discuss any changes to your symptoms, and adjust your recommendations as needed.

This varies depending on your individual situation and goals. Most clients see meaningful improvements after 3–4 sessions, while more complex or long-standing conditions may benefit from longer-term support.

We'll discuss this during your initial consultation and I'll always be transparent about what I think will be most helpful for you.

Yes — all consultations are available via video call, so you can work with me from anywhere in the UK. In-person consultations may also be available for the initial 90-minute session, subject to circumstances. Please get in touch to discuss.

No, you don't need a referral. You can book directly with me. However, if you are currently under the care of a GP or specialist for a medical condition, I'd encourage you to let them know you're working with a nutritional therapist. In some cases, I may ask you to share information from your medical team to ensure the safest and most effective approach.

Conditions and Support

I specialise in gut health and digestive conditions, with a particular focus on:

IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) — bloating, cramping, irregular bowel habits
IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) — Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis
General gut health and digestion — poor energy, food intolerances, digestive discomfort

Yes — there is good evidence that dietary and lifestyle approaches can significantly reduce IBS symptoms. Common strategies include identifying trigger foods, gut microbiome support, stress management and targeted supplementation.

Everyone's IBS is different, which is why a personalised approach is so important. I won't give you a generic plan — everything will be tailored to your specific symptoms, history and lifestyle.

Nutritional therapy can play a supportive role in managing IBD alongside your medical treatment. The right dietary approach can help reduce inflammation, support remission, improve nutritional status and enhance quality of life.

I work collaboratively with your existing medical team and would never recommend changes that conflict with your prescribed treatment.

Practical Info

Full pricing details are listed on our consultation fees section. A free 15-minute discovery call is available to discuss your needs before committing to a consultation.

I am a Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner holding a BA(Hons) and Diploma from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (DipION). I am registered with the CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council) and am a member of the NNA (mNNA).

CNHC registration means I adhere to a strict code of conduct and professional standards, and I commit to ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) to keep my practice current.

My sessions are suitable for adults aged 18 and over. I work with both women and men. If you're unsure whether nutritional therapy is right for you, please come along to one of my free drop-in sessions or send me a message — I'm always happy to have an informal chat first.

Functional Testing

Functional testing can provide additional insight into factors affecting your health, such as digestive function, nutritional status and hormones.

Not necessarily. Testing is only recommended where it may provide useful information to support your care.

The most appropriate test depends on your symptoms and health goals. Common options include comprehensive stool testing to assess digestive function, the gut microbiome and inflammation.

Drop-In Sessions

My free drop-in sessions are informal, relaxed opportunities to come along and ask questions about gut health, IBS, IBD and how nutritional therapy might help you. There's no commitment and no pressure — just honest, helpful conversation.

They're held in Kenilworth, usually once a month. Get in touch to find out when the next session is.

Simply get in touch and I'll let you know when the next session is taking place and how to join. Dates vary, so it's worth enquiring in advance to avoid missing out.
